Winter Indoor Recreation Program

2023-2024 WINTER REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

During the long, cold Minnesota winter months, our Recreation Program moves indoors and provides an opportunity for participants aged 3 years through 9th grade to learn and enjoy the game of soccer in a fun, safe and structured environment. 

No Prior Experience Required: We provide a fun & positive soccer experience for all children, offering opportunities to play with friends, exercise, develop motor and social interaction skills.

Learning: Participants will learn the fundamental skills of soccer; dribbling, passing and shooting, through fun games, structured activities and small sided games.

Volunteer Coaches, No Experience Required: The success of the Fusion SC Recreation Program is dependent upon parents who are willing to volunteer and assist our trainers with the session.

If you are able to assist in any way, please check the 'volunteer to coach' box during your child’s registration process.

All volunteer coaches receive a FREE t-shirt.

TWO LOCATIONS, ONE PROGRAM

The Winter Rec program is located at two different sites in Plymouth, organized by age group:

  1. Plymouth Creek Center Dome
  2. Fusion Indoor Training Facility

Plymouth Creek Center Dome

The following age groups will play at the Plymouth Creek Center Dome:

Winter Intramural Program: 7th-9th Graders

We are excited to introduce the Winter Intramural Program!

This program is exclusive to 7th-9th graders. Join us for fun, fast-paced, friendly soccer at the new Fusion Indoor Training Facility. 

 

Intramural Program Overview:

  • $110 registration fee per Block
  • 6 sessions per Block
  • Location:  Fusion Indoor Training Facility
    3500 Holly Lane Unit 10, Plymouth MN 55447
  • 11:00am-11:55am - 7th-9th Boys
  • 12:00pm-12:55pm - 7th-9th Girls

Intramural Session Format:

  • 20 minutes of Fusion trainer-led practice, followed by 35 minutes of gameplay
  • Teams play two 15-minute games per session
  • 3v3 or 4v4 small-sided games
  • Small teams
  • Lots of touches on the ball!

Winter Rec Program Overview

Ages Eligible: 
3 years old through 9th grade.

  • 3 yr olds must be at least 3, but not yet 4 on November 1st to participate in any block of Winter Recreation (no exceptions).
  • Pre-K must be 4 yrs old on or before November 1st. 

Group Formation:  

  • Groups/teams are formed for each 6-week block by gender, grade, MUTUAL play-with requests and school. 
  • If a play-with request involves players of different ages, the younger player must play at the older age. 
  • Play-with requests must be received prior to October 20th for Block 1. 

Fusion SC Trainers:
Winter Recreation sessions are run by Fusion trainers. They will:

  • Educate, inspire, motivate & encourage every child.
  • Lead & coordinate the skills activities & games.
  • Educate, support & assist volunteer coaches; providing age-appropriate session plans & guidance.

What to bring/wear each week:

  • Uniforms: Each player will receive a colored jersey at the start of each block which should be worn for all sessions.
  • Shinguards: MANDATORY for ALL players of every age. Must be completely covered by long socks.
  • Soccer shoes/cleats: Recommended. Sneakers are also fine.
  • Water - Please bring plenty of water. Only water is allowed onto the turf field - do not bring sports drinks or glass containers.
  • No jewelry allowed. Eyeglasses should be secured with a headband. 
  • Soccer Ball: All players should bring a fully-inflated soccer ball to each session.
    • Pre-K to 2nd grade = Size 3
    • 3rd to 6th grade = Size 4
    • 7th to 9th grade = Size 5

WINTER REC REFUND POLICY

NO REFUNDS are allowed for the Winter Rec program. Fusion Soccer Club may choose to award a Credit Voucher toward future FSC programs. Please contact the Fusion SC Office at rec@fusionsoccermn.com if you have a special request to withdraw. Any refunds will be in the form of a credit voucher valid toward future FSC programs.

Q: Can I drop my child off at the dome and go do other things during the hour? 
A: We strongly recommend that a parent/guardian be present with the child during the time they’re at the Dome, in case there are any problems with the child during the session.
